The World Health Organization’s cancer research agency classifies processed meats—such as bacon, sausages, ham, and hot dogs—as Group 1 carcinogens, meaning there is strong scientific evidence that they can cause cancer in humans.
Although processed meat is placed in the same category as tobacco smoke, the classification reflects the strength of the evidence, not the level of risk. In other words, it confirms that processed meat can increase cancer risk, but it does not mean it is as dangerous as smoking.
The strongest evidence links regular consumption of processed meat to colorectal cancer, with some evidence also suggesting an increased risk of stomach cancer. Researchers believe this is largely due to processing methods such as curing, smoking, and salting, as well as certain compounds that are formed or added during these processes. The World Health Organization’s cancer research agency classifies processed meats—such as bacon, sausages, ham, and hot dogs—as Group 1 carcinogens, meaning there is strong scientific evidence that they can cause cancer in humans. 🧊 Would you think twice before ordering ice?
A 2017 BBC investigation found faecal coliform bacteria in more than half of the ice samples collected from selected McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC outlets in the UK. While this doesn't mean the ice contained actual feces, these bacteria are considered indicators of possible contamination and poor hygiene practices.
The investigation was limited to a small number of UK restaurants and should not be taken as evidence that all outlets are affected. Still, it serves as an important reminder that food safety depends on strict hygiene, regular equipment cleaning, and proper staff training.
Whether you're dining at a fast-food chain or a local restaurant, cleanliness matters just as much as taste. Stay informed, practice good hygiene, and always make food safety a priority.🧊 Would you think twice before ordering ice? Researchers have reportedly identified the world’s first case of “Sexually Transmitted Diarrhea” after a series of mysterious bathroom emergencies swept through local hookup circles. The completely fictional study claims victims experience an uncontrollable urge to sprint to the nearest toilet within hours of “close contact,” with one participant admitting he thought it was true love until he spent their entire second date fighting for his life in a gas station restroom. Scientists insist the condition isn’t actually transmitted the way social media claims, but they are recommending everyone stop trusting people who say, “You’ll be fine, I ate there yesterday.” The report concludes the outbreak has already destroyed hundreds of relationships, thousands of pairs of underwear, and at least three apartment security deposits.Researchers have reportedly identified the world’s first case of “Sexually Transmitted Diarrhea” after a series of mysterious bathroom emergencies swept through local hookup circles. Stealthing Act Bill - A federal bill called the Stealthing Act of 2025 (H.R. 3084) would give victims of "stealthing," the non-consensual removal of a condom or other protection during sex, the right to sue their assailant for damages in civil court. Advocates describe stealthing as a form of sexual violence and a violation of consent, since agreeing to protected sex isn't consent to unprotected sex. California became the first state to allow such lawsuits in 2021. The bill was introduced in April 2025 and referred to the House Judiciary Committee; it has not yet become law. Consent can be conditional, and revoking that condition matters. 🚨 WHO WAS SHE? WHO IS STILL SEARCHING FOR HER? 💔
📍 Watson Island — Miami, Florida | February 3, 1981
More than 40 years ago, a young girl was found near an access road leading to the Japanese Garden on Watson Island.
She wasn’t just a case number.
She was someone’s daughter.
Someone’s friend.
A child who laughed, dreamed, and deserved a future.
Yet decades later…
💔 She still has no name.
Investigators believe she was between 12 and 18 years old, about 5’2”, weighed around 90 pounds, had black hair with blonde dye, a gap between her front teeth, and small scars on the left side of her neck.
A forensic artist recreated what she may have looked like in life, hoping that one face… one memory… one person… could finally bring her home.
There is something about her eyes that is impossible to forget. Maybe it’s not the reconstruction itself, but the heartbreaking reality that this child has gone more than four decades without her identity.
Someone out there knows who she is.
📞 If you recognize her or have any information, contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

Emmett Till would have been 85 years old today.
But white supremacy stopped that from happening.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
He bought some candy and said "Bye baby" on the way out of the store - but the white lady behind the counter - Carolyn Bryant - claimed he grabbed her, made lewd advances and wolf-whistled at her as he sauntered out.
A few days later - based solely on how a young black man responded to a fragile white woman - he was dragged from his bed in the darkness of the night, ridiculed, mocked, beaten, shot, tied to a 75 pound cotton-gin fan and thrown in to the Tallahatchie River.
All because of the way a young black child responded to a fragile white woman.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
It took an all-white jury only 67 minutes to acquit his killers. "We wouldn't have taken so long if we hadn't stopped to drink pop," they said.
All because of the way a young black child responded to a fragile white woman.
We're NOT far removed from this... if removed at all.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
In 2017 Carolyn Bryant confessed that Till had never touched, threatened or harassed her. She made it all up.
I visited his grave outside Chicago several years ago. It was a somber moment for me. His life mattered... but it didn't to his murderers.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
And we're watching a country, a government and a disgustingly high number of supportive citizens work hard to remove history to act like things like this never happened. Shame on you, America.
That's why we say Black Lives Matter. That's why we fight with everything we have against racism - blatant, overt, covert and systemic.
Happy Birthday, Emmett Till... happy birthday.

𝐈𝐧 𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐲 𝐋𝐲𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 | Black Families Say Mississippi’s Medical Examiner Can’t Be Trusted After Four Questionable Black Deaths
In a state with one of the darkest histories of racial violence in America, Black families are once again demanding answers.
Mississippi’s Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Staci Turner, is facing intense scrutiny after her office handled several high-profile deaths of Black residents under circumstances that many believe remain unresolved or improperly ruled.
The cases include:
Nolan Xavier Wells, 18, whose body was found in the water near Horn Island in July 2026. Authorities quickly called it an accidental drowning.
His family, represented by attorney Ben Crump, ordered an independent autopsy. Early findings have raised more questions than answers.
Damien Cameron, 29, who died in 2021 after a violent arrest by Rankin County deputies later tied to the notorious “Goon Squad.” Turner’s office ruled the death “undetermined” even though the autopsy showed internal bleeding in his neck consistent with compression.
Independent forensic pathologists later concluded it was a homicide.
Demartravion “Trey” Reed, 21, a Delta State University student found hanging from a tree on campus in September 2025.
Officials ruled it a suicide. His family has never accepted that conclusion and ordered their own independent autopsy.
Channon Wilson, a 13-year-old boy whose 2022 drowning death was ruled accidental without a full autopsy. His family has long claimed he was thrown into the water and that evidence was mishandled.
Only one of these cases — Damien Cameron’s — has been independently reviewed and directly contradicted the state’s findings. The others remain clouded by unanswered questions, pending reports, or families who say they were never given the full truth.
In a state still living with the memory of lynchings, every unexplained Black death carries heavier weight. Families and advocates argue that when the same medical examiner’s office repeatedly delivers rulings that leave more questions than answers, trust collapses.
This is not just about one death. It is about a pattern — and whether Black lives in Mississippi are being fully and fairly examined when they are lost.
What do you think? Can a system with this history be trusted to investigate these cases without bias? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
